Travel Guide
The Venue

This is our home base. Our wedding ceremony, dinner, and dancing will be held at Rimrock Ranch in Rimrock, California—a small “city” located in Pioneertown, California.

Stay

01.

Vacation Rentals

We encourage guests to secure a vacation rental like AirBnb or VRBO in the Pioneertown area. And soon, if you can. Peak season drives up prices, but early booking can save you a lot of cash.

02.

Pioneer Motel

We won’t have rooms blocked at a hotel, but here is one option we recommend that you can book yourself:

Pioneertown Motel
5240 Curtis Road
Pioneertown, California 92268

Built originally as a way post for movie stars of old Westerns, Pioneertown Motel has stood since 1946 as a place for wearied travelers and sun-drunk revelers to seek solace and inspiration.

03.

Other Hotels

There aren’t many hotels in the high desert, and we don’t recommend staying in Palm Springs, since it’s 45 minutes to 1 hour away from the venue, and it will be inconvenient to commute for all the festivities.

Transportation

Parking

Parking is very limited at the venue. Carpooling is highly encouraged. And please note that ride-share apps like Uber and Lyft are not readily available in the area. Cell phone service is also quite spotty.

Directions

The drive to the venue is beautiful, but might feel quite long if you have never driven it before. Please enjoy the views and long conversations with your travel companions.

Shuttles

We are going to provide shuttle service—likely from a parking area in Pioneertown to and from the wedding venue on the wedding day. We will provide confirmation and details as we get closer. Stay tuned.

Highway 62 Art Tours

Check out the Highway 62 Art Tours. Fran participated in 2022, it’s a really great way to explore the area and see what local art makers are up to.
